According to Variety, Stiles, 26, will star in the semi-autobiographical film by the poet Sylvia Plath.
The story follows Esther Greenwood, a young journalist who wants to make a name for herself in New York. Unfortunately, she suffers from depression and moves back to Boston. She eventually undergoes shock therapy treatment and makes several attempts at suicide.
The novel is regarded as a disguised view of Plath’s life. Filming is set to begin at the beginning of next year.
