Justin Bieber plans acoustic album

Teen pop sensation returns to acoustic roots.

Although Justin Bieber’s performances are replete with a show of lights and percussion, the artist enjoys returning to his ‘unplugged’ roots with only an acoustic guitar to accompany his famous voice.

The young pop phenomenon is in the studio alone with his guitar to record a new song, according to a message on Twitter last Sunday (October 17).

“Maybe we need to give everybody an Unplugged acoustic album with that new song I cut in Hawaii for the holidays…thoughts???” he wrote.

The singer is also planning to record acoustic versions of selected songs from his albums, My World and My World 2.0.

Another Tweet to his guitarist and musical director Dan Kanter, revealed a bit more: “Listening to tracks from the new Unplugged acoustic album. feeling really good about it.”

Bieber, 16, is planning to release a 3-D bio-pic of his meteoric rise to fame entitled Never Say Never in February 2011.
