Justin Timberlake as Boo Boo the Bear

Justin Timberlake could be lending his voice to a famous cartoon character.

Timberlake, Anna Faris and Dan Aykroyd are negotiating with Warner Bros. to star as voices in the upcoming Yogi Bear film, inspired by the famous Hanna-Barbera cartoon.

Yogi Bear was a secondary character in 1958’s The Huckleberry Hound Show, but got his own show in 1961.

The film, directed by Eric Brevig (Journey to the Center of the Earth), will be created with graphic animation and real action scenes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Aykroyd will lend his voice to Yogi Bear, while Timberlake will be his best friend, Boo Boo. Faris will play a documentary filmmaker who is doing research on bears in fictitious Jellystone Park.

Donald De Line and Karen Rosenfelt will produce the project, which should begin production next month in New Zealand for an anticipated release in December 2010.

Justin Timberlake is currently filming The Social Network, while Dan Aykroyd is filming Dorothy of Oz, which opens April 2011. Anna Faris will star in Young Americans, coming out on January 9.
