While the pop singer was undergoing treatment at a detoxification clinic, Spears could count on the moral support of her former boyfriend, Justin Timberlake.
According to Life & Style magazine, friends of Timberlake have revealed that the two spoke on the telephone during her treatment.
A source explained, "He wished her the best and told her to get healthy and come back as the Britney he knew."
Timberlake, who dated Spears for several years, also asked the singer’s mother, Lynn, to keep him informed on Britney’s progress.
Singers Pink and Mary J. Blige also called Spears while she was in treatment to offer their support.
Britney Spears spent a month at the Promises rehabilitation clinic in California after demonstrating a lot of odd behaviour. Since completing the program, she suprised fans with a brief performance in San Diego. It was her first time on stage since 2004.
