Justin Timberlake to Climb Kilimandjaro

Justin Timberlake is planning to climb an African mountain for a good cause.

According to FemaleFirst, the singer is preparing to spend a week climbing Mt. Kilimandjaro.  He will be accompanied by rapper Lupe Fiasco and American singer Kenna to raise funds for the global water crisis.

Timberlake explained, "I’ve been training four times a week to get my VO2 – oxygen consumption – levels up to expand my lungs. We’ll climb for a week straight, carrying 30 lbs on our backs. It’s going to be intense, but it’s going to be so rewarding. We’re going to be ready for it."

The three singers are not the first celebrities to climb the famous mountain.  Last month, nine British stars took the journey, including Girls Aloud singers Cheryl Cole and Kimberley Walsh, and Take That member Gary Barlow.
