Pop singer Justin Timberlake is taking new British songstress Leona Lewis under his wing, while the two are planning to record a duet that is bound to be a hit in 2009.

The two singers will collaborate on a new version of the Whitney Houston classic, I Will Always Love You.

According to a report from Britain’s The Sun, Timberlake wants to collaborate with Lewis to create a more modern version of the song, originally sang and written by Dolly Parton.

A source revealed, "They will record the track in the next few months and are just waiting for a period when they’re both free to go into the studio. Leona and Justin are huge fans of each other’s music and are raring to go.”
