The album, Futuresex/Lovesounds, will be in stores in September, but the cover of the disc has been shared with the public in advance.
The album is filled with other musical celebrities including Nelly Furtado and Idia Arie. The Rock Your Body singer is releasing the first single from the collection, SexyBack, on August 21.
"How do you compete with the first album? The answer is you don’t – you can’t recreate a moment. You have to make a new one. You hear music on the radio and it all tends to sound the same, so you want to push it as far as you can," Timberlake told the BBC.
He added, "I’m happy with it. If ‘Justified’ was dipping a toe in the water, this record is jumping in. It’s more epic and broad."
