Rapper Kanye West took to Twitter on Wednesday (October 19) to announce a new album – possibly a collaborative effort with artists like Kid Cudi, Big Sean and Common – due out in spring 2012, reports Billboard.
"GOODMUSIC.THE ALBUM.SPRING2012," the rapper wrote on the micro-blogging service.
So far, no further details have been unveiled, but fans are speculating the title could mean this upcoming album will be a collaboration with other artists on West’s label, GOOD Music.
Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend has released four albums with the label, while hip-hop artist Common has dropped three. Rapper Kid Cudi has already released two albums on the label and is expected to drop another two LPs – Wizard and Man on the Moon III – before next spring.
This is not the first time the artist has announced a major work through Twitter: West first broke the news of his and Jay-Z’s recent best-selling collaborative album. "Me and jay bout to drop a 5 song album called ‘Watch the Throne,’" he wrote in August 2010.
