Kanye West sweeps Rolling Stone’s best of 2010 lists

American rapper wins best album and best single in Rolling Stone‘s annual rankings.

American rapper Kanye West, 33, occupies the top spot with both best album and best single in Rolling Stone‘s "Best of 2010" lists. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, West’s fifth studio album, was deemed truly beautiful and dark by the magazine who gave it first place in their annual lineup.

His hit single Runaway, written in response to his own bad behaviour at the 2009 VMAs, was awarded top prize as well. Also off the same album, West’s Monster occupied tenth spot and Power placed at number 40.

Montreal’s own Arcade Fire was the only other name to appear in the top five of both lists, with album The Suburbs taking the fourth spot and We Used to Wait rounding out the top five singles of 2010.
