Offishall took home three trophies for the son Everyday, also winning best video and best direction.
Another rapper, Massari, earned the title of Best Pop Video for Be Easy. Nickelback was given the award for Best Rock Video for their song Photograph. In the rap category, Classified was the winner for their No Mistakes video.
The public chose the Montreal band Simple Plan as the Best Canadian Group for their video of the song Crazy. The same award was given to Fall Out Boy for the song Dance, Dance, Dance in the international category. Kelly Clarkson (Because of You) was chosen as the Best International Artist.
The prize for the Best Francophone video went to Stéphanie Lapointe for her song La Mer.
