Kate Moss Sculpted in Gold

Kate Moss, the world’s most famous model, will be honoured at the British Museum.

A massive, golden 50 kg. statue of the London model will be on display at the British Museum starting in the month of October.

The work of art, valued at almost $3 million, was created by Marc Quinn.

This isn’t the first time Quinn’s art has featured Moss. He also created a bronze sculpture of her while she was taking a break from yoga.

The artist explains his choice, saying, "I thought the next thing to do would be to make a sculpture of the person who’s the ideal beauty of the moment."

The exposition will be open to the public on October 4.
