Although Heigl’s career is soaring, she may be leaving the television show, Grey’s Anatomy, where she made her acting breakthrough, in order to try out different projects.
A source told Us Weekly, "She’s working really long hours and is ready to move on. She’s a smart one."
The 29-year-old actress may follow in Jennifer Aniston’s footsteps. Aniston was very successful in the sitcom Friends, and then went on to get big movie roles in films such as The Break-Up and Bruce Almighty.
Heigl’s plans may be foiled, since she just signed a contract with ABC, and may not be able to leave Grey’s Anatomy. A source stated, "I don’t think she’ll be able to get out of it."
