The two were photographed recently holding hands in Rome. At the moment, the rumour machine is working overtime.
However, it seems that this time the rumours were true. A representative for Homes also confirmed the news.
Tom Cruise was possibly the most eligible batchelor in the world, after his 2001 divorce from Nicole Kidman. He split with Spanish actress Penelope Cruz in March, 2004.
For Holmes, she recently ended her engagement and five year relationship with actor Chris Klein. She was also dating actor Josh Hartnett recently.
