Beckham and Holmes became closer when the Beckhams moved to Los Angeles last year. However, things seem to have changed. A source stated, "Until recently, the Beckhams were bosom buddies with Katie and her husband Tom Cruise. But there is now clear rift between them, and Victoria has made it clear that Eva and Kate are her new chief allies in Los Angeles."
Holmes has taken distance after people started accusing her of turning into Posh when she changed her hair and wardrobe. Their friendship has been strained ever since.

Beckham celebrated her 34th birthday on April 18 at Via Veneto Restaurant in Santa Monica with many friends.
