Katy Perry dates Moe from The Simpsons

It appears that Katy Perry is not too sexy for The Simpsons. The singer will appear in a special live action segment featuring Simpsons puppets that was filmed before her plunging neckline got her into trouble with parents across the country.

Last week, a preview of her kids’ show released on YouTube received a flood of complaints from concerned parents about a very low cut dress the singer chose to wear for the G-rated audience.

And while Sesame Street axed the singer’s segment, Springfield has sent the welcome wagon for the pop star and her wardrobe, reports the Daily News.

"In the wake of Elmo’s terrible betrayal, the Simpsons puppets wish to announce they stand felt-shoulder-to-shoulder with Katy Perry," said Al Jean, executive producer of The Simpsons.

The I Kissed A Girl singer will appear in human form among Simpsons puppets, as Moe’s girlfriend, during a special live-action segment of the December 5 episode called The Fight Before Christmas.
