Following up the hit singles California Gurls, Teenage Dream, and Firework from her latest Teenage Dream album, pop singer Katy Perry will attempt to reach first position on Billboard’s Hot 100 for the fourth time with her newest release E.T.
If she succeeds in this unusual feat, Katy Perry will go down in music history.
On her Facebook page, the artist has posted the photo that will grace the cover of her new single. "Here’s a sneak peek of the artwork for ‘E.T.,’ the next single off ‘Teenage Dream’!" the message says. "Stay tuned for a new music video and remixes coming soon."
The black and white photo, showing Perry with blunt-cut bangs and heavy eyeliner reminiscent of the Cleopatra look, is a far cry from her typical colourful candy-hued fashions.
Perry has been performing E.T. live recently, and is gearing up for her California Dreams tour and Grammy performance next month.
