The upcoming marriage of singer Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand is scheduled for next Saturday (October 23) in India, according to a report from thisislondon.co.uk.
The couple plans to marry during a traditional ceremony at the luxurious Indian Taj Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, the same location where they announced their engagement before 85 guests last New Year’s Eve.
This week, Brand said they are hoping for discreet normal ceremony, despite the rumours of a wild bash spread over six days.
“We just love each other and we want to get married in front of our friends and family and keep it very normal. It ain’t about selling the pictures, it ain’t about doing no pre-nup, it’s just a normal thing,” Brand explained.
“I’m trying to preserve it, to keep it a beautiful thing. I think people get the wrong idea on how we want the wedding to play out. Love between two people is the most spectacular yet ordinary thing in the world.”
When asked if they might star in a film together, Brand joked that they would make a sex tape. Katy Perry began dating Russell Brand last fall.
