According to Variety, Reeves has joined the cast of the romantic comedy, and will also serve as a producer.
Henry’s Crime will be the first production of Compagny Films, the company owned by Reeves and Stephen Hamel. They will co-produce the project with Lemore Syvan.
In the film, which will be directed by Malcolm Venville, Reeves will play a man with a big heart who is falsely accused of a bank robbery in Buffalo. Production is scheduled to begin in Buffalo in November.
In the meantime, Keanu Reeves will co-star with Robin Wright Penn and Winona Ryder in The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, which opens in select theatres on October 13.
