Keira Knightley didn’t know fiance’s band

Keira Knightley hadn’t heard of fiance James Righton’s band The Klaxons when they first met, and she loves their different perspectives on life.

Keira Knightley had never heard of her fiancé’s band when they first met.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ actress admits she was oblivious as to who The Klaxons were when she first spoke to James Righton but found herself drawn to the musician because of the knowledge he bestowed upon her.

She said: "I’m not someone who listens to a lot of music. But I get wonderful perspective by being with someone who is less like me. We come at things from different angles.

"If I ask, ‘What’s this song about?’ he’ll say, ‘Nothing. It means what it sounds like.’ If the soundtrack of a movie isn’t right, he can’t watch it."

The couple got engaged in May 2012 after meeting through mutual friends, but they are in no rush to tie the knot as Keira wants to "enjoy" their relationship.

She added in an interview with Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: "I could have six fake weddings. God, that would be expensive. We’re not big-wedding types. I don’t need to have all that.

"I’m just trying to enjoy the engagement bit. My parents are together after 40 years. The fights are there, but they love each other. It’s not like the first three months, the first two years, whatever it is, but I think it gets more interesting, or I hope so."
