Knightley, who stars in the Pirates of the Caribbean film franchise, is currently dating actor Rupert Friend. The actress, however, admits that it is hard for her to maintain a long-distance relationship, and that her job keeps her away from home.
Knightley told OK! magazine, "Since I hate talking on the phone, I wonder how I would manage a long-distance relationship. I’m thinking about how I’m going to handle a great romance and how much I’d suffer or make the guy suffer if I disappear onto a film set for three months and then fall out of love with him."
