Variety reports that Keira Knightley and Colin Farrell have joined the cast of the police drama London Boulevard.
Farrell will play a criminal from South London, who after being released from prison, hopes to change his life by leaving his gangster ways behind him. He then becomes a handyman for a young actress (Knightley).
The film will be the first directing gig for screenwriter William Monahan, who wrote the script for The Departed. Monahan adapted the screenplay for London Boulevard from the Ken Bruen novel.
Filming will begin in the London area this summer.
Keira Knightley will star in the film Last Night, expected out this year.
