The Pirates of the Caribbean star revealed that she finds it helpful to throw things when she is mad. Knightley believes that she has inherited the trait from her father, actor Will Knightley. She told Hello! magazine, "I am like my father. I have ‘the Knightley streak’. He gets angry at inanimate objects. I find it therapeutic to throw glasses even if you have to spend the rest of the night on your hands and knees collecting pieces of glass.”
Knightley added, "Whether you are frustrated, sad or drunk it works. It takes the anger away."
The 22 year-old star also explained that she can be a bit dramatic, and that she is constantly anxious.
Keira Knightley plays Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. The new film of the franchise has already earned $401 million at the theatres since its release on May 23.
