Kelly Clarkson condemns online leaks

Singer says unauthorized postings of her new songs feels worse than being robbed.

Readying for the release of forthcoming album Stronger, Kelly Clarkson has become increasingly frustrated knowing that demos of her new songs have already been leaked to fans online.

Posting on her website, Clarkson initially made light of the unauthorized leaks by telling readers that there was "No point in getting angry,” and that there was nothing she could do. “I hope y’all like the music," she wrote. “I can’t wait for everybody to hear my actual finished fifth album!"

Now however, the original American Idol winner is openly sharing her displeasure: "Oh my God, have you ever been robbed?" Clarkson asked a journalist at Entertainment Weekly. "I have. I’ve been physically robbed a couple of times, but this is much worse."

"Those songs came out and people are like, ‘Oh my God, what direction is Kelly going?’" the 29-year-old star fumed. "I think what made me mad was that [fans] had no idea what my next album was going to sound like. That really caused a lot of confusion."

Stronger – said to be influenced by Prince, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow and Radiohead – is set for release on October 25. Clarkson collaborated with All I Ever Wanted producers Howard Benson and Claude Kelly as well as My December producer Jason Halbert.
