Accordinng to MTV, Rowland decided to take a break after 2002’s Simply Deep. Her follow-up disc was to be released this summer, but has been delayed until the spring of 2007.
The 25 year-old singer said of the album, "It was basically a list of songs that I put together about the past three years of my life, with love and relationships. And I remember listening to the record, and I was just like, I don’t want this to be too deep. I still wanna have my party records."
Rowland was assisted on the album by producer and spokesperson Sean Garrett, who had also collaborated with Destiny’s Child. Rowland wants to have a more urban, R&B style. At the moment, the singer is recording songs for the CD. The first single from the disc will be either Wooo! or Bump Like This.
Rowland added, "If you work with the same producer, you’re like, ‘Look, I want my own sound."
