The director and producer of the film Semi-Pro has been hired by Warner Bros. and Heyday Films to direct Treehouse Gang.
The film will be Alterman’s second time behind the camera. He recently added the title of producer to his resume with the films Mr. Woodcock and A History of Violence.
Treehouse Gang is based on a story by Timothy Dowling. The plot follows six childhood friends who reunite in their late 20s to find a treasure. The men find that their relationships as adults are not much different from when they were boys.
The film is being described as an adult version of the film The Goonies.
