Costner, who is touring Germany with his country band, Modern West, told his family to stay home, reports FemaleFirst.
The actor doesn’t want his children to contract the virus, so his six children, Annie, 25, Lily, 23, Joe, 21, Liam, 13, Cayden, 2, and Hayes, 8 months, are all staying with their 3 different mothers.
"It is unusual that my family is not there, because they usually are always there. But I have been worried about swine flu, and didn’t want my small children with me this time on this trip," said Costner.
He added that his current wife, German model Christine Baumgartner, has been encouraging him to continue to pursue his musical interests.
