Kevin Costner Slams Death of a President

Actor Kevin Costner was very open about the fact that he didn’t like the film Death of a President at a recent viewing.

The Dances With Wolves star was lashing out at the mock documentary film which shows a fictional assassination of President George W. Bush.  Director Gabriel Range was accused by Costner of not considering how Mr. Bush’s family would react to the scenes in the film.

Costner watched the film over the weekend at the Toronto Film Festival, which also premiered Costner’s film The Guardian.  Costner said, "It’s awfully hard if you’re his children, his wife, his mother, his dad. There’s a certain thing we can’t lose as human beings, which is empathy for maybe the hardest job in the world.  Whether we think it’s being performed right or not we can’t, like, wish… or think that’s even cute."
