The year 2006 was full of emotion for the star, including a quick wedding, and even quicker divorce from Pamela Anderson. Now, the Detroit singer plans to concentrate on his music.
The star, who has not released a CD since 2003, shared some details about his future disc with Billboard magazine. The singer revealed that producer Rick Rubin is directing the new album. Rubin has also worked with System of a Down and Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others.
Kid Rock explained, "He’s had some good suggestions so far, good direction."
Rock added that he may include a collaboration with Fats Domino on the disc, and that he has big plans for the CD’s promotion. He said, "I’d like to give it six months time — put out a single, start doing radio promotions, the whole thing."
