Kim Cattrall Against the War

The star of the former hit series Sex and the City, is imploring her nephew not to go to Iraq.

The actress, who will be playing the part of Samantha once again in Sex and the City: The Movie, is trying as hard as she can to dissuade her nephew about going to Iraq.

Ever since Cattrall played in the British production, My Boy Jack, she was made more aware of the dangers of war. She has been sending her nephew newspaper clippings, so that he too can see what the war represents.

Cattrall explained, "Even though my 18-year-old nephew’s grandfathers and great-grandfathers served in wars, there is no way I want to see my eager nephew sign up and serve in Iraq."

According to Cattrall, her nephew does not have the maturity to know what he is getting into. She added, "My young nephew has bad vision, like Jack Kipling (Daniel Radcliffe’s character), and can only see clearly through his right eye. Still his desire to serve is stronger than all the arguments. I don’t want him to be part of any war but I am powerless. It’s his decision. This doesn’t stop me emailing and sending him articles to try to stop him."
