Kings of Leon keep it real

The Grammy winners will continue trying out new material in concert.

Kings of Leon are working on their fifth studio album, a follow-up to the hugely successful Only by the Night. The Nashville-based rock band has several songs in the can and cannot wait for fans to hear them.

The band is ruffling some record label feathers because they insist on performing unreleased tracks during live shows. They have already performed four tracks off their upcoming album to the delight of fans.

Frontman Caleb Followill talked to Billboard.com about their summer tour. He revealed: "If we were to go out there and play a concert and not play new music, it would feel like we had our hands tied, and I think we would be bored with the show."

Followill went on to say: "We didn’t want to go back out there and give ’em the Only By the Night tour, part two. It’s inspiring to be able to go out there and play new songs…"

Only by the Night went platinum and its hit single Use Somebody won big at the 52nd Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Best Rock Song and the Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
