Drummer Nathan Followill wed his girlfriend, singer Jessie Baylin, during a ceremony held in Brentwood, Tennessee on Saturday (November 14).
The 30-year-old musician wrote on his Twitter page, "I woke up with a married woman in my bed this morning. Luckily she was mine."
Followill’s spokesperson said, "It was a gorgeous 70 degree day and the wedding was beautiful. It was a very love-affirming wedding with lots of warmth and happiness."
For the occasion, the drummer invited his Kings of Leon cronies, Caleb and Jared Followill, who are also his brothers, and cousin, Matthew Followill. Actress Scarlett Johansson, who attended the same school as the bride, was also a guest at the ceremony.
Followill, who met his wife in 2006 at the Bonnaroo Festival, wrote on Twitter the eve of the wedding day, "This time tomorrow night I will be wearing some new jewelry. I’m so excited for tomorrow. A new day, a new life, and a new wife. Thanks Jess."
Jessie Baylin, 25, is a singer/songwriter who works for Verve Records.
