Kirsten Dunst To Play Debbie Harry

Actress Kirsten Dunst will play Debbie Harry, the singer from Blondie, in a feature-length film.

According to Variety magazine, Dunst will play the singer in a film which recounts the story of the band.  Blondie entered the scene in New York in the 1970s, and were close with Andy Warhol.

The band featured several styles of music, including rock, punk, disco and new wave.  Blondie was very successful in the 70s and early 80s with songs such as One Way or Another and Call Me.
