Kylie Minogue Honoured

The 39-year-old star received the Music Industry Trust award to mark the 20 years as a singer.

The singer stated it was an "incredible honour", to receive this award. Past recipients included Elton John and Peter Gabriel.

Minogue has been fighting breast cancer since 2005 and has been a pop icon for the last 20 years.

This award is "recognition of her universally acclaimed status as an icon of pop and style achieved over a 20 year career which has seen her reinvent, experiment and inspire."

This award was given just a few weeks before the launch of her new album, the first album Minogue has done since she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
