Lady Di Exhibit in Philadelphia

Lady Di honored in Philadelphia.

A travelling exhibition on Lady Diana, Princess of Wales, opens today in Philadelphia at the National Constitution Center until December 31, 2009.

Entitled, Diana: A Celebration, the exhibition showcases items and photos chronicling her childhood, her marriage to Prince Charles in 1981, her royal life and her humanitarian missions.

The centerpiece for this exhibit is her wedding dress, embellished with a 25 foot train and more than 10 000 small pearls. There is also her crown and her complete ceramic frog collection.

Princess Diana, born Diana Spencer, died on August 31, 1997 in a car accident, almost one year after her divorce from Prince Charles on August 28, 1996.
