Lady Gaga duet with Elton John
Although she probably has one of the busiest schedules in show business, Lady Gaga was pleased to accept when British musician Elton John asked her if she wanted to sing the duet Hello, Hello with him for the soundtrack of animated film Gnomeo & Juliet, reports MTV News.
With a planned release of February 8, this will be Lady Gaga’s first film soundtrack while veteran pop star, Elton John, 63, previously shared the Academy Award for Best Original Song with Tim Rice for Can You Feel the Love Tonight from The Lion King soundtrack.
John told Access Hollywood: "I told her about the song, and she said, ‘I’d love to do it,’ and she did it. We’re just so thrilled she took time out of her incredibly busy schedule to do it."
He said Gaga put her own spin on the pop tune, "She had fun with it and changed it a little bit and brought her own personality to it, so she gave Juliet that personality.”
Another other duet on the soundtrack is sung by Elton John and Canadian Nelly Furtado.
John is one of the producers of the children’s movie about rival clans of garden gnomes who live in adjacent gardens and only come to life when no humans are around. Lead roles are voiced by James McAvoy, and Emily Blunt.
Gnomeo & Juliet will be released in theaters on February 11.
