Lady Gaga featured on next Glee album

Glee will release a third compilation album on May 18.

The series Glee is the uncontested flavour of the month right now on American TV. The show is riding the wave of its success by releasing a third compilation of songs performed on the show.

MTV News reports, "We’re still only in the first season of Glee and already the masterminds behind the hit Fox show are planning the next soundtrack. Glee: The Music, Volume 3 – Showstoppers is expected to drop May 18 and it will feature a number of chart-toppers performed by the beloved cast from the show."

The second album currently on the charts is a mini-album of 7 Madonna songs featured in the Glee episode devoted to the Queen of Pop.

Madonna herself gives the show thumbs up, saying, "The entire cast was amazing. They’re all so talented. I especially loved Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) and Kurt Hummel’s (Chris Colfer) characters. Ryan Murphy did a great job bringing all these elements together. [Daughter] Lola loved the show too. I wish I went to a high school like that. … If only."

The third soundtrack will feature at least two Lady Gaga songs, Poker Face and Bad Romance. Fans won’t hear just Glee stars on this compilation. There’s also songs performed by guest stars Kristin Chenoweth, Olivia Newton-John, Neil Patrick Harris and Idina Menzel. Menzel is the star who sings Gaga’s Poker Face, along with Beck’s Loser.

Even Quebec is represented on this third soundtrack. Men Without Hats 1980’s hit Safety Dance is there, plus songs by KISS, All-American Rejects, Aerosmith and The Beatles.
