Lady Gaga vowed to reveal the name of her new album if she won the Video of the Year award at the MTV Video Music Awards yesterday. Well, she won, and she wasted no time in fulfilling her promise.
Award firmly in hand, she announced to the world that her new album is called Born This Way. She then treated the room and television audience watching with an a cappella version of the refrain of the album’s title song.
Gaga commented: "I’m so excited about it. The message, the melodies, the direction, the meaning, what it will mean to my fans and what it will mean to me in my own life — it’s utter liberation. I’m on the quest to create the anthem for my generation for the next decade, so that’s what I’ve done."
The young pop star did not reveal any more details, including which producers are working with her. She is afraid once she names names, they will be in too much demand. She shared: "So all I can say is that nobody knows who they are. They’re all new."
There is still no official release date for Born This Way.
