Lady Gaga Makes Music History

Singer Lady Gaga has established a new record.

Thanks to her song Paparazzi, Lady Gaga has become the first singer whose four songs from a debut album landed in first position on the Billboard Pop Songs chart, which is the most important American hits chart.

Never before has an artist brought four singles from one album to first place on the chart, which was created in 1992. With Paparazzi, which followed Just DancePoker Face and LoveGame, Lady GaGa has carved a place for herself in music history.  All of the singles come from the album The Game.

Previously, Ace of Base, Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morissette held the record with three songs off their albums topping the chart.

This new accomplishment comes at a good time for Lady Gaga, as she gears up to release her sophomore album, The Fame Monster, on November 23.

Lady Gaga will kick off her world tour on November 27 in Montreal. After she hits several Canadian and American cities, including Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver, the 23-year-old star will next embark on a tour to Europe in January, before she lands in Australia in March 2010.
