The much-anticipated video premiere of Lady Gaga’s newest single Born This Way will be exclusively launched this Monday, February 28, on Perez Hilton’s website, reports MTV.com.
One of the most popular bloggers on the planet and dear friend of Gaga, Perez Hilton is very excited to introduce one of the most anticipated videos of 2011 on perezhilton.com next Monday at 11 am Eastern Time.
Late Wednesday night (February 23), Gaga tweeted her fans, "You did it Monsters! Born This Way is #1 in 14 countries + were #1 again on Hot 100! Thank you for believing! Video Monday 28th 11am Est,"
The video, directed by Nick Knight with assistance by Gaga, the Haus creative team and choreographer Laurieann Gibson, will debut on television at 5 pm on MTV’s The Seven.
Choreographer Laurieann Gibson promised MTV "… a life-changing experience. You can expect the highest level of execution in vocal music art and dance … but you will be shocked."
Gaga confirmed the sentiment in a recent radio interview, and said the video was about "the birth of a new race within the race of humanity–the birth of a new race that doesn’t bear any prejudices. I think the most important thing is that I continue to grow, and I knew when I put [out] ‘BTW’ it would be a transitional moment, because it doesn’t sound like [my previous singles]."
After the initial controversy in which the song was immediately noted for its similarity to Madonna’s Express Yourself, Gaga received the Material Girl’s blessing for expressing herself–even if it was an homage to Madge.
