Lady Gaga to perform for Bill Clinton
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton will be honored with a superstar bash – including performances by Lady Gaga, U2’s Bono and The Edge, and Usher – at the Hollywood Bowl next month, in recognition of his charitable organization’s tenth year of operations, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Rather than appearing on television, A Decade of Difference: A Concert Celebrating 10 Years of the William J. Clinton Foundation will be broadcast online exclusively through Yahoo! on October 15.
As well as honoring the charity – which has raised over $10 million for various causes over the years – the concert will also serve as a late birthday party for Clinton himself, as the ex-President turned 65 on August 19.
Details are still being worked out, but a long list of musicians and Hollywood celebrities are expected to put in an appearance. Unlike the invite-only Rolling Stones concert that celebrated Clinton’s 60th birthday, however, tickets for the upcoming concert are expected to also be made available to the general public.
