Theatrical pop singer Lady Gaga, 24, has promised her fans a holiday gift that will come in the form of a special New Year’s Eve midnight announcement about her upcoming Born This Way album.
“Merry Christmas little monsters! I love you with all my heart. My gift to you is a Born This Way announcement midnight on New Years Eve,” Tweeted Gaga on Christmas Day.
The album may contain up to 20 songs, with the first single expected to be launched in February 2011, and the album shortly thereafter.
The Poker Face hitmaker also revealed on Twitter that her album The Fame Monster was named best-selling album of 2010.
“The Fame Monster was named the best-selling album of 2010! I’m so excited for the future, believe + work hard, you will achieve your dreams,” she wrote yesterday (December 27).
The album was an extended version of her 2008 debut effort, The Fame, and has sold nearly 6 million copies in the last year, just slightly ahead of Eminem’s Recovery.
