Lane Hutson: three goals (including a spectacular one) in less than 40 minutes

Lane Hutson is undoubtedly the most electrifying prospect in the Tricolore nursery. The defenseman continues to demonstrate night after night that, despite his small stature, he’s a real offensive dynamo.

Kevin Dubé (Journal de Québec), who has seen him play in person in recent days, also confirms: he’s worth the price of a ticket alone (and he’s really the center of attention when he jumps on the ice).

And tonight, Hutson was back in action with the Boston University Terriers, as his club took on the mighty Fighting Hawks of the University of North Dakota.

It’s in these big games that the Terriers need the CH hopeful, and in the first period, he responded with a spectacular goal.

Watch him dance at the opposing blue line: it’s magnificent.

And in second gear, the youngster was still hungry. With the help of young prodigy Macklin Celebrini, the defender advanced deep into the opposition zone for a great scoring chance, which he did not fail to capitalize on.

Imagine if Celebrini were to land in Montreal… it would be beautiful, though.

And with two goals on the clock late in the second period, Hutson managed to complete his hat trick a few minutes later with a magnificent wrist shot.

Hutson didn’t even need 40 minutes to complete a hat trick. He’s not a bad kid.

The game is still in progress, but Hutson now has six goals and nine points in seven games. He still has 20 minutes to play in this seventh game, but let’s just say he’s already put in a good effort.

Again and again, then, Lane Hutson continues to be electrifying every time he jumps on the ice.

I can ‘t wait to see him in Montreal.
