Lanvin launches Bijoux for a Princess

French fashion house unveils 1920s-style necklace collection.

French fashion house Lanvin launched their new Bijoux for a Princess collection, giving women the opportunity to feel like royalty, reports Vogue.

The line includes classic necklaces decorated in classic Swarovski crystals, glass, silk and ribbon. While modern in design, they have a timeless style.

In crafting the delicate accessories, creative director Alber Elbaz said he found his ideas in old sketches of young brides from the Roaring Twenties, turning these classic pieces into something suited to today’s woman, while maintaining his inspiration – the fantastic style of house founder Jeanne Lanvin.

The new collection isn’t the first time Elbaz has drawn inspiration from the eponymous founder either. Lanvin Petite was designed in homage to Marguerite, Jeanne’s daughter.

They may be made be for children, but the pieces are made from some of the finest (and most delicate) materials around. Gowns of washed organza, for example, are embroidered with satin ribbon, crystals and grosgrain weave. Lanvin Petite includes 25 high-end items including tulle dresses, T-shirts, coats and shoes.

The discriminating young woman can even pair her new outfit with one of the collection’s beaded necklaces, not unlike mom can do with her new Bijoux for a Princess accessories.
