Prada announced that Lara Stone is the new face of its Infusion d’Iris fragrance, Coco Perez reports.
The fashion house’s new ad campaign was directed by photographer Steven Meisel who has already worked on several Prada campaigns.
Lara Stone joins model Sasha Pivovarova who has been the face of the fragrance since 2007. There were rumours that she was being replaced by Stone but the truth is that the two will work together.
Stone is the face of Prada’s new Eau de Toilette, while Sasha is associated with the Eau de Parfum version.
This is not the first perfume ad campaign for Stone this year. The Dutch model is also the face of Versace’s Versus fragrance.
She is very busy as a model these days. She worked the Givenchy and Chanel fashion shows in Paris earlier this year.
Lara Stone is a rather unconventional model because she is a UK size 8. This is a breath of fresh air in the size 0 modelling world.
She has been quoted as saying, "I’m different because I am fat. It would be nice if I wasn’t the only person with t*ts and an a**e. If I could have the discipline to be super-skinny I would be. I think of dieting, then I eat pizza. I’m a woman, and every woman wants to be thinner – unfortunately."
