Peter Kowalczyk, 29, reportedly struck the British singer on October 14 at a book signing, reports BBC News.
Kowalczyk, who was not present in court yesterday (October 26), has been in the care of the Lambeth Hospital mental health ward in London. He is being evaluated by psychiatrists.
The case has been adjourned until November 23 in order to give ample time for the psychiatrists to properly diagnose the man.
