Lewis feared for her life as she wound up in the middle of criminals with guns and the law enforcers trying to stop them.
The British star was shaking like a leaf after the incident, which happened when she stopped for coffee in Los Angeles with her personal assistant, Nicola Carson. The two women found themselves amid a police manhunt.
"It was really frightening. One minute we were stopping for drinks, the next there was police and guns everywhere. It came completely out of the blue and was absolutely terrifying. I really thought the guys might start shooting. I was shaking like a leaf afterwards," said Lewis.
When Lewis stopped at a Starbucks, a car that was involved in the police shakedown stopped and armed men exited the car. As soon as the situation became clear, Lewis’s security team rushed to protect her.
Police quickly apprehended the men and the singer was safe.
