DiCaprio, who just finished shooting Shutter Island, his fourth film with the well-known director, revealed that he’s learned so much from the filmmaker.
The actor and his co-stars are always invited to watch several films before starting a new project with the director. They study the films for things like lighting and dialogue. Scorsese insists on extensive research from his team.
"It’s like a little cool learning workshop before we start to make the movie. It’s a film course, you get a crash course, like an education. He’s the best teacher. I’m sure that there are professors out there but I would challenge anyone to know as much about movies as him," DiCaprio told Total Film magazine.
