The pair first teamed up to make 2008’s Body of Lies. Now actor Leonardo DiCaprio and director Ridley Scott may work together again.
DiCaprio is set to star in The Wolf of Wall Street and Scott is in talks to direct.
The film is based on the autobiography of the same name by former stockbroker Jordan Belfort. The book documents the spectacular rise and dizzying fall of Belfort. He spent 20 months in prison after being convicted of fraud and money-laundering.
Amazon.ca offers a description: "The book’s main topic is the vast amount of sex, drugs and risky physical behaviour Belfort managed to survive."
Martin Scorsese was supposed to sit in the director’s chair but decided to wear a producer hat instead. He is working out the details to get Scott on board.
In the meantime, Leo DiCaprio stars in the new film Inception opening in theatres on July 16.
He will also team up with director Clint Eastwood to take on the hefty role of controversial FBI founder and director J. Edgar Hoover.
