After having worked together last year on Body of Lies, Leonardo Di Caprio and director Ridley Scott are tackling a futuristic society this time.
The Hollywood Reporter says that they will be making the film Brave New World. The film will be based on an Aldous Huxley book launched in 1931, which focuses on a futuristic world of high technology where people live in perfect harmony because of conditioning and drugs.
Farhad Safinia, the screenwriter of Apocalypto, will write the script. Scott will also act as a producer with Michael Costigan through their company Scott Free. DiCaprio will also produce the project with George DiCaprio and his company, Appian Way.
Leonardo DiCaprio is currently filming Inception with Marion Cotillard and Ellen Page. On October 2, he will star in the Martin Scorsese film, Shutter Island, along with Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley.
