The Internet site of The Hollywood Reporter states that Warner Bros. has purchased the rights of a Korean film called The Chaser. The feature film may be directed by William Monahan, who is currently in talks with the studio.
The lead role of the project may go to Leonardo DiCaprio, who would play a former police officer investigating the disappearance of a young girl. They have to find the serial killer and find out if his hostage is still alive.
Monahan also wrote the screenplay for The Departed, another film starring DiCaprio.
